Chris Clark | Community Representative

Chris Clark is a former Mountain View Mayor and City Council Member and is currently the Chief Operating Officer at OpenAI. He previously served on CHAC's board before being elected to City Council.

Chris was first elected to the Mountain View City Council in 2012 at age 29 and was the youngest and first openly LGBTQ+ elected official in the city's history. Often described as a consensus builder, he was raised on a family farm in rural Illinois and attended local public schools before moving to the Bay Area to attend Stanford University. He graduated with a B.A. in Political Science, secondary major in International Relations, and a minor in Economics.

Chris deeply values the services CHAC provides to our local community, especially at-risk youth and families. He supported increased funding for CHAC during his time on the City Council and looks forward to helping CHAC achieve its mission as a board member.
