CHAC offers psychotherapy and counseling for children, youth, adults and families. This work addresses issues such as depression, stress, domestic violence, bullying, substance abuse, economic hardship, parenting challenges, communication, and relationships.
CHAC provides psychological assessment services for issues affecting psychological, emotional, academic, and occupational functioning. Testing is available for both children and adults and a greatly reduced rate compared to typical assessment costs.
Children & families
CHAC collaborates with FIRST 5 Santa Clara County and other community partners to offer various programs aimed at helping families with young children. CHAC's Family Resource Center offers programs to help parents and caregivers understand the importance of physical and social-emotional development during the first years of life and early school years. PARENTS & CARE-GIVERS

drug & alcohol out-patient services for adolescents
Well Within is an intensive outpatient program for teens affected by substance use/abuse and for their families. Using established therapeutic approaches, teens build the skills and confidence needed to create a happy, healthy life, which in turn positively impacts their family and community.
Competency Development Services (CDS)
CDS is a partnership with the Santa Clara County Probation Department that provides individual counseling for juveniles who receive police citations in an effort to prevent future involvement with the law.
CHAC offers psychoeducation groups to children and adolescents that focus on building self esteem and resiliency. Groups meet once a week for 8 weeks:
Just for Kids 3rd grade students. Encourages self awareness, self confidence, empathy and teaches healthy coping skills.
Tween Talk 5th and 6th grade students. Focuses on building self esteem, a positive identity and making healthy choices.
Teen Talk 7th-12th grade students. Focuses on helping students make informed choices about their health, safety and future.
